The Challenge
Lextek are a household name when it comes to motorcycle exhuasts and aftermarket parts. Having been very successful over a number of years they were now looking for a website overhaul to match an updated logo and brand guidelines more focused on the speed side of motorcycles. They needed to both showcase their products and also show how their products look on your vehicle.
Objectives
Since their launch in the early 2000s, Lextek has sought to redefine motorcycle performance through aftermarket exhausts to increase both looks and performance. They have always had premium, excellently designed products, but their website failed to meet the impeccable standards set by their products. The website was outdated and basic, creating a branding debt for the company. The content, layout and build were outdated and didn’t effectively reflect the ambition of such a visually aspirational brand.
It was crucial for Lextek to appoint the right partner for their complete digital overhaul. After a competitive pitch, leading web design and development agency DesignTrade were appointed to transform user experience and set a new benchmark for online Scaffold products. DesignTrade are known for their innovative web designs, paired with a rigorous focus on site performance and robust functionality, so were perfectly placed for the brief.
Results
From 1st March to May compared to 1st June to 24th August, it’s important to note that the March-May period includes an extra month of data. During this comparison, we observed the following growth in metrics:
30% uplift in total sales in the first month post-launch
+1,500 visitors in the first month post-launch
2.5% conversion rate (39% higher than the UK average)
